Short Bio:
The Wenatchee Valley, in Eastern Washington, sprouted a sonically fragrant quartet of wildflowers in the deep winter of 2019. This project came to be known as the 'Chumliles,' a four-piece (guitar, banjo, bass and fiddle), all female string band known for their Americana, Country Roll, and Folkgrass sounds. It was a happenstance convergence, but has since blossomed into a perpetual flood of collaborative music, friendship, and live performance. All members are vocalists, composers and multi-instrumentalists. They have recorded two full length albums Runaway Wild (2020) and Roots in Real Thick Mud (2023) with a third album germinating. They have had the absolute honor and pleasure to open up for the likes of the Lil Smokies, Sway Wild, Vicci Martinez and Steph Strings. Chumlilies' original tunes swirl with rich harmonies, striking melodies, and vivid lyrics bringing you home to explore what it feels like to be a creature on planet earth.
